Shiatsu is an alternative therapy which originated in Japan and developed from the same oriental traditions as acupuncture. It is a deeply relaxing therapy and is effective in relieving the symptoms of a wide variety of ailments including migraines, back-ache, asthma, anxiety, sciatica and much more. The term Shiatsu literally translates as 'finger pressure' and pressure is combined with stretches and rotations to access the body's energy systems.

Shiatsu treatment in Perth, Scotland and surrounding areas

Receivers remain clothed during the treatment and clothing should be loose and comfortable. Sessions are either carried out on a futon, in seated position or on a couch, dependant on location and fitness levels of the receivers.

Home visits are generally within the Perth area but I can cover greater distances by arrangement if required. Unfortunately, therapy room treatments aren't vcurrently available but we hope to be able to offer this service again soon. For futon treatments within your home you will need a free space of approximately 2m (6ft) square.

The initial session includes a case history and 1-1.5 hours should be allowed with follow-up sessions dependant on your requirements.

Charges vary from £10 for a 20 minute Taster Session to £20 for a 40 minute session and £30 for a full session.
