We offer the following training options at regular intervals throughout the year. If you are based in Scotland and would like us to provide training for your organisation, please contact us for a schedule of rates and additional training options.

Introduction to the Therapeutic Home

Rebalance your home and tread lighter on the earth.....

Over the last few years, the 'home' has lost it's importance and the focus is on the creation of an investment rather than a nurturing and restful environment for living.

This course is designed to encourage you to investigate what you need from your home and to explain how the choices you make can affect both your health and that of the wider environment.

Learn how to use sustainable materials and natural themes to transform your home into a balanced living space which is healthy for both you and the environment. Work with colour, texture, sound and aroma to stimulate the senses and create your very own 'Sacred Space'. Learn how to use the Ba Gua to refocus the energy of your home and help remove the blocks in your life. Find out about some of the unhealthy effects of the products in your interior and the alternatives available.

One Day Course 10am-5pm

Feltmaking for beginners

Learn this ancient art with our beginners class...

Felt Purse

This is a marvellous way to really get your 'earth connection back'!

Hand-made felt is made from wool fibres which under the application of water, heat and pressure contract into a strong dense mat. It's a traditional method of producing cloth and can be used to produce sheet material or moulded around objects to produce 3D pieces such as hats, bags, slippers, etc.

Learn the basic techniques and produce a small moulded purse to take home at the end of the day. All materials supplied but wear old clothes as it can get a bit wet!

Cost - £12 per person (minimum of 10 people). One to one tuition available for £30.

Art & Craft

Evening classes in a variety of art and craft techniques...

Sheila Buchanan is a well known textile artist in the Perth & Kinross area and teaches the following skills at her night classes. Classes run continuously throughout the year so you can just join and take part whenever suits you. Sheila can also come to you - give her a call to discuss alternative options and costs.

Some are more suitable than other for children so contact Sheila for further information.

Weaving - Beginner to advanced weaving skills, weaving structures using materials such as willow and paper.

Fabric - Making scented and woven jewellry plus basic knit and fabric manipulation techniques.

Printing - Learn print techniques such as using the T-Shirt process or learn how to print onto watercolour paper from colour photo-copies as well as paper marbling.

Paper - working with and sculpting papier mache.

Thursday evenings, 7pm-9pm
