Menstrual cups are a cost effective and environmentally responsible alternative to disposable sanitary products.
The Mooncup is about 2 inches long and is made from a soft medical grade, non-allergic silicone. It is worn internally like a tampon, holds about 30ml of fluid and forms a light seal with the vaginal wall allowing the Mooncup to collect your menstrual fluid without leakage or odour. The Mooncup does not contain deodorisers, bleaches or absorbency gels, does not interfere with your healthy vaginal environment and has never been associated with Toxic Shock Syndrome
If properly cared for your Mooncup is re-usable for several years. It's an excellant investment when you consider how much you would spend on disposable products in this time and how much landfill waste would be produced.
The Mooncup comes with excellant instructions on how to use it and a support contact number offering advice to first time users incase of any problems. The Mooncup is available in two sizes:
Size A is recommended for women who have given birth vaginally or who have had a caesarean section and aged 30 or above.
Size B is recommended for women who have not given birth or who have had a caesarean section and aged below 30.
